Gerold Dermid has worked in the field of public health for the past 17 years, focused on accreditation, quality improvement, workforce development, social marketing and community engagement. He currently manages workforce and student training programs locally, nationally, and internationally, with a special focus on the development of trainings within traditionally underserved communities.

Dr. Penny has more than 15 years of experience in community and public health, with 10 years serving as a local epidemiologist in the Inland Empire region of California. Her research interests include the areas of health equity, social determinants of health, epidemiology, disaster preparedness, mental health, and injury and violence prevention.

Maria- Pillar Martin PhD has over 30 years of experience in public health, including both practice and academia. In the last 14 years, she has worked at 3 different universities in academia. Dr. Martin has also held positions with the Miami Date County Health Department as the Director of Tuberculosis Surveillance and the Project Director of Asthma Surveillance.

Melanie Sutton, PhD, MS as extensive experience in online course and program development as well as teaching focus in GIS applications in public health. Since 2002, she has successfully worked on various academic and community engagement projects including team members from disciplines critical to communication in public health, from health professionals to marine biologists. .

Maryam Gul, M.B. is a current MPH student at Adelphi University. She received a Bachelors of Medicine and a Bachelors of Surgery from Rehman Medical College in Peshawar, Pakistan. Maryam has clinical experience in general surgery, nephrology, and gynecology.
